Is the online video game Fortnite good for kids? Does it cause children to be aggressive? Is it really addictive? It is proven that Fortnite is addictive to almost all of the 9.3 million players around the world. Many studies have been done that show the violence of video games such as Fortnite can lead to real-world violence, which will affect the world of kids and not just their ¨Fortnite”  life.                                                                                                    

Fortnite does not show blood or gore, but young children are being exposed to guns. Also, older children that play might be influenced by the violence. The point of the game in Fortnite is to be the last survivor in the battlefield by getting rid of every character in their path. Some people think that Fortnite helps kids with their social and communication skills. Kids can be communicating with people across the world! However, parents don’t know who their children are communicating with. The person they are playing against might use foul language. Kids may also be using their parents’  credit cards to purchase Fortnite apparel like costumes, animations, and different characters. The rating for Fortnite is rated ¨ T ¨ for teen, which means ages thirteen and up. Parents need to stop their kids from playing Fortnite until they are older and able to understand more!
