Top Five Movies Coming out in 2019

In 2019, Hollywood will release sequels to five new movies.  A sequel is a follow-up to another story.

  1. How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World will be released on February 22, 2019.  The cast is Jay Baruchel as Hiccup, America Ferrera as Astrid, Kristen Wiig as Ruffnut, T.J Miller as Tuffnut, Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Fishlegs, and Jonah Hill as Snotlout.  It is about a boy named Hiccup who has created a glorious chaotic dragon world. When the sudden appearance of female Light Fury coincides with the darkest threat their village has ever faced, Hiccup and Toothless must leave the only home they’ve known and journey to a hidden world thought only to exist in myth. As their true destinies are revealed, dragon and rider will fight together to the very ends of the Earth to protect everything they’ve loved.
  2. Frozen 2 will be released on November 22, 2019.  The cast includes Idina Menzel as Elsa and Kristen Bell as Anna. It is about Elsa the Snow Queen and her sister embarking on an adventure far away from the kingdom of Arendelle, their home.
  3. Lion King (live action) will be released on July 19, 2019. The cast is Beyoncé as Nala, Donald Glover as Simba, and James Earl Jones as Mufasa.  The story is a copy of the Lion King original movie.
  4. The Lego Movie 2 will be released on February 8, 2019.  The cast is Chris Pratt as Emmet, Elizabeth Banks as Wyldstyle, Arnett as Batman, Channing Tatum as Superman, and Jonah Hill as Green Lantern.  It is about the citizens of Bricksburg who face a dangerous new threat when Lego Duplo invaders from outer space start to wreck everything in their path. The battle to defeat the enemy and restore harmony to the Lego universe takes Emmet, Lucy, Batman and the rest of their friends to far away, unexplored worlds that test their courage and creativity.
  5. Avengers: Endgame will be released on April 26, 2019.  The cast is Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Josh Brolin as Thanos, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, and Tom Holland as Spider-Man.  It is about Tony Stark in space with no food or water. He sends a message to Pepper Potts as his oxygen supply starts to get smaller. Meanwhile, the remaining Avengers Thor, Black Widow, Captain America, and Bruce Banner must figure out a way to bring back their vanquished allies for an epic showdown with Thanos, the evil demigod, who decimated the planet and the universe.
